Large & Fine Crooks Mineral Tube

German, c.1910, unsigned but probably by Emil Gundelach or Müller-Uri, large hand-blown globe with large synthetic ruby sample held on glass claw, on wooden stand, tube and stand 34cm tall

Note: Tube in good working order.

The French chemist Auguste Verneuil developed the technology required to produce synthetic rubies in 1902 publishing his findings in 1904.
