English, c. 1830/40, unsigned, rectangular sectioned pillar screws into boss on top of case lid, concave mirror pins into base of column, stage on bracket moved by rack work for focusing, small limb to top with thread to accept the simple lenses or lenses in combination with compound body tube, with other various accessories and slides, in mahogany case with velvet lining to lid, lock and key to front. Box measures 13.8cm x 11cm x 3.5cm.
