The Dental Mirror of Sir Frederick Seymour

English, c.1882-1895, in silver with engine turned decoration, concave mirror with folding handle that can also be angled, back engraved with the Seymour crest over which is the coronet of the first and last Baron Alcester – Admiral Sir Frederick Beauchamp Paget Seymour, 10.8cm with handle opened out.

Note: Admiral Sir Frederick Seymour was the only surviving son of Sir Horace Beauchamp Seymour and grandson of Admiral Lord Hugh Seymour, the 5th son of the 1st Marquess of Hertford. Sir Frederick was created Baron Alcester, of Alcester, Co. Warwick on the 24th November 1882. His peerage fell into extinction on his death on the 30th March 1895.
