Daguerreotypes Beard Patentee and Mayall

Ninth plate, cased Daguerreotype, gold toned in oval matte, embossed with "Beard Patentee", early 1840s. These were used by most early English Daguerreotypists who had purchased a license to make Daguerreotypes. Excellent condition.

4x5 inch Daguerreotype of a seated man holding a book. Housed in a very worn, half case embossed with "J.E.Mayall Daguerreotype Institution 433 West Strand". Some spotting to image.
