Charles Reid Bull Mastiff Woodburytype

Charles Reid (1837-1929) was born in Turriff, Aberdeenshire. He was a very successful commercial photographer, and a leading figure in the photography of livestock and wildlife. Reid ran a portrait studio in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.
The Woodburytype process was developed by Walter Bentley Woodbury, a mechanical printing process, producing highly detailed and fade resistant images.
