English, dated 1908, weights engraved 'LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, 1908' and all numbered 302984, with many calibration verification and Exchequer marks, in a large French polished oak case with folding steel handles, catches with large lock, brass plaque to the lid reads ''LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, DE GRAVE & CO LTD, LONDON', the weights of standard spherical or globe pattern in gunmetal consisting of 16 weights from 56lb down to 1/2dr with the small weights in a separate French polished velvet-lined mahogany case, case width 55cm.
