Lancashire County Council Imperial Standard Meter, 1929

English, Dated 1929, engraved ‘STANDARD METER 62F, LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL’ and ‘DE GRAVE SHORT & CO LTD, LONDON’, at the end are multiple Exchequer and verification marks, the rule is constructed of machined cast brass finished in lacquer, beveled edge divided into 100cm with the 1st, and 100th cm divided into mm, with two turned and polished Lignum Vitae handles with lacquered brass screws for lifting the rule out of the case, mahogany case with lock (no key) 2 catches, missing brass plaque to the lid, case length 117cm.
