HENRY PEACH ROBINSON, When the Day is Done, Carbon Print on Porcelain, a large oak framed porcelain plaque with a dark sepia carbon print entitled ‘When the Day’s Work is Done’, titled in the print, frame 51cm x 39cm, plaque 37cm x 25cm approximately. Note: A rare example of Robinson’s most successful narrative composite pictures. An albumen print of it was exhibited in 1877. It is believed Robinson used six negatives to create this picture.
