1967, chrome, serial no. 6827783, together with Nikon Nikkor-S f/1.4 50mm lens, black/chrome, serial no. 504582, body, F, shutter working, lens, G-VG, some light cleaning marks, also to include Nikon Nikkor-H f/3.5 28mm, Nikon Nikkor-S f/2.8 35mm (EF converted), Nikon Micro-Nikkor f/3.5 55mm and Nikon Nikkor-P f/2.5 105mm (EF converted), lens bodies overall, F, elements overall, F, some haze, fungus and cleaning marks, all housed in Halliburton aluminium case, also to include three colour transparencies, three signed 12 x 12" prints of LP cover images by Ferris (Hendrix, Donovan, The Hollies). These famous 1960's Psychedelic album cover photographs were taken with this Karl Ferris Nikon F camera kit. Also included is one unexposed roll of Kodak Ektachrome colour infrared which Ferris commonly used for much of his work
Provenance: This outfit was used by the pioneer of psychedelic photography, Karl Ferris between c 1967 and 1969. This outfit was used to shoot the famed US debut psychedelic album covers, of Jimi Hendrix's 'Are You Experienced', 'Electric Ladyland', 'Axis Bold as Love' and 'The Jimi Hendrix Experience', as well as Donovan's 'Gift From a Flower to a Garden', 'Wear Your Love Like Heaven' and The Hollies 'Evolution'. Plus poster shots of Eric Clapton's "Cream" group.
