English, c. 1900, signed to the rear of the stand ‘Baker 244 High Holborn, London’, contained in a polished leather case lined with green baize, microscope stand folds back with two legs folding forward to form a tripod stand, with plano-concave mirror, small ABBE-type substage condenser, simple stage, rack and pinion focusing, fine focus screw, with two Baker objectives and three eyepieces. Case measures 26cm wide.
