A Well Equipped Biunial Magic Lantern By Newton & Co

English, c.1880, the top of the lens mount engraved 'Newton & Co, Opticians to Her Majesty the Queen and the Government, 3 Fleet Street, London', the lantern on a polished mahogany base with steelplate internal compartments holding 2 gas limelight burners, with original gas tap to the rear of the lantern, with 2 sets of double doors, tinplate chimney to top, condenser lenses to the front, with lacquered brass support to the 2 projection lenses, both with rack an pinion focus, all in a large fitted black painted pine case, separate case for original gas fittings
