Baird, (John Logie b.1888-d.1946) was a Scottish inventor, electrical engineer, and innovator who demonstrated his working television system on 26 January 1926, he went on to invent the first publicly demonstrated colour television system, and the first viable purely electronic colour television picture tube, autograph letter on company headed paper to Adolf Isenthal, dated 19th April 1927 "Dear Mr Isenthal, Many thanks for your letter. I would like very much to see you with reference to the German Agency. Would it be convenient for you to come and have lunch with me next Tuesday when we would have an opportunity to discuss this, yours very truly John L Baird

Note: In 1929 the German post office gave Baird facilities to test his mechanical television system, perhaps that is the 'German Agency' which is the subject of the letter
