Fascinating album showing the journey from Venice to Constantinople captured on a Kodak No1 camera. Introduced in 1888, the camera was sold with a pre-loaded film giving 100 exposures of size 2 5/8inch. After which, the camera was returned to Kodak so the film could be developed and it was returned with a new film loaded and ready to go. The images in the album show how versatile the camera was. Views of the Rialto Bridge, local people on carts in Brindisi, a group of children in Corfu, views on board the S. S. Iona. The album is dated 1891 and holds the full 100 images, nicely laid out. White leather binding with "From Venice to Constantinople 1891"embossed in gilded lettering.
Condition: Foxing to pages. The images are very good and the binding is complete and tight.
