English, dated 1908, weights engraved 'COUNTY BOROUGH OF PRESTON' and all numbered 3097, with many calibration verification and Exchequer marks, in a large French polished mahogany case with folding steel handles, catches with large lock, brass plaque to lid missing, the weights of standard spherical or globe pattern in gunmetal consisting of 16 weights from 56lb down to 1/2dr with the small weights in a separate French polished velvet-lined mahogany case, case width 55cm.
