A Fine & Rare James A Sinclair Tropical Una High Power Telephoto 'Everest' Outfit

English, c.1910, signed to the ivorine (early celluloid plastic) plaque 'The Una Camera, James A Sinclair co Ltd, 64 Haymarket, London S.W.', the 6x4 camera constructed of French polished mahogany with all brass bindings with single rack and pinion extension, complete with Atkin-Swan tilting table with adjustable lens support, Dallmeyer lens engraved 'J. H. Dallmeyer London, No62787, No.4 Stigmatic Series II Patent', with corresponding tele-photo mount engraved 'J. H. Dallmeyer, London No. 63269Telephoto Attachment Patent', Ross Zeiss Convertable Anastigmat, Sinclair double extending lens hood, 2 French polished mahogany DDS's, a red leather and French polished mahogany film back, all in the original fitted case with trade label to inside.

Note: James A. Sinclair & Co. Ltd started trading in 1903/1904 at 54 Haymarket London SW till 1925 when the company moved to Charing Cross, London. The only other auction sale we can find was at Westlicht Auctions, Vienna, back in 2009, lot 531
