Three large format albums of vintage gelatin silver prints.

Album 1, large format album, 46cm x 39cm titled in gilt 'NEW YORK HOLLYWOOD 1934-1935', the second page with contents hand-written in ink:

New York March and finally back to England March 15 1935;

album contains approximately 130 toned gelatin silver prints 30.5cm x 21cm and smaller, including street scenes, sky-scrapers and other modernist architecture, rural and urban landscapes and portraits, many with brief titles in ink, photographs are printed on good quality paper and attached with weak paste, so some have become detached and are loose in the album pages.

Album 2, matching large format album 44cm x 41cm, titled in gilt 'NEW YORK SPRING 1937' approximately 130 toned gelatin silver prints 35cm x 23cm and smaller, including many city-scapes and sky-scrapers, some portraits and stands of trees etc., many photographs have become detached and are loose in the album pages.

Album 3, Travels in Southern France 1930s album 42.5cm x 39cm, containing approximately 200 toned gelatin silver prints 25cm x 16.5cm and smaller, landscapes and nature views, architecture, urban and rural scenes, portraits of local people.

Note: Online images of individual photographs are all from album 1.

Notes: These albums were previously attributed to Dolly Tree, but dates do not appear to match with her biography. Album 1 includes a photograph of Douglas Fairbanks and Gertrude Lawrence at Waterloo Station, London, the photographer was certainly a Hollywood insider but this reqires further research
