A Fine Set of Drawing Instruments with Military Provenance.

English, c.1850, by J Halden & Co., nickel silver bound burr walnut case with cartouche engraved 'Lieu. W O Lennon, Royal Engineers', fitted velvet interior, the top tray with proportional dividers, second tray with water colours , palette etc., the base with ivory sector, ivory scale rule/protractor and ivory parallel rule, each stamped J Halden & Co Manchester & London, case 21.3cm across. Provenance: Originally owned by Lieutenant W O Lennon Royal Engineers. He was awarded medals for the Crimea War (1853-56), two bars, and the Sardinian War (1859)
