English, c.1908, engraved 'COUNTY BOROUGH OF BURNLEY, W & T AVERY LTD LONDON', the measure engraved in inches with the first inch in 100ths, with a large steel compass type joint in the centre, the ruke with various exchequer marks at the end, the earliest marked 1908, case length 101cm

Note: this is the only 6ft folding measure we have ever seen come up for sale, the smaller 3ft measures do come up from time to time but not this much larger 6ft measure
