including four tongue scrapers: the first by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson, 1793, London, engraved 'M. Dennifs', 10.2cm. long, 16g; a further similar, possibly Continental, 19^th Century, silver or silver plated, with engraved griffin on scraper, 10.8cm. long; an unusual tongue scraper, George III, with maker’s mark R.T, possibly London, the shank pierced and with small scraper, 15cm. long, 17g; the fourth tongue scraper, maker’s marks for T.D., London, 1829, of wishbone-type form with twist pattern arms, 12cm. long, 17g; and a mid-18^th Century to early 19^th Century, silver or silver plated combined pierced tongue depressor and spatula, engraved ‘SL’ – 12.9cm. long, 21g

Note: The first tongue scraper by Phipps and Robinson and the tongue depressor were previously bought at Sotheby's on 3rd October, 1991 (Lot 31). The unusual tongue scraper was previously bought at Bonhams on 10^th December, 2002 (Lot 162), the scraper with griffin on scraper from the same sale (Lot 158) from the collection of late Ronald A. Cohen.
