Optometrists Sight Test Machine
American (?) c.1890, unsigned with embossed metal plaque t the front for 'Test your Sight', eye sight testing machine with internal metal carousel of rotating glasses, each one with a number on a metal plaque, as the carousel is rotated the magnification is increased allowing the viewer to read a card fixed to the back of the machine. Presumably when the patient can read the card the number is taken and the prescription is the known. width 50cm
