a mammoth plate carbon print photograph, photographed 1886, printed c.1887, titled verso 'St Annes Lifeboat "Laura Janet" and Crew, who gallantly rescued the Crew of Six Men from the Scottish Steamer "Yangean" on December 5th 1886, and five days after the Lifeboat was capsized and all Crew lost, while going to the rscue of the German Ship "Mexico" on the stormy night of December 9th' Photographed by W Kershaw, St Annes-on-the Sea, image 37.5cm x 48.2cm mounted on original board 48.5cm x 56.5cm
