A Large Cabinet of Microscope Slides, Cabinet, English, late victorian, unsigned but in the style of 'Smith & Beck (note handle design), with 15 drawers each capable of holding 32 standard slides, 480 slides in total, the slides represent a diverse collection covering many subjects, with slides from preparers including Smith & Beck, W Watson & Sons, C.M Topping, J. T. Norman, Fred Enock, Clark & Page, Firth, and many others

Footnote: this cabinet belonged to the Authors of Brain Bracegirdle’s book ‘Microscopical Mounts & Mounters’, published by the Quekett Microscopical Club, 1998, most of the slides in this cabinet were photographed for the colour plates at the back of the book. The set is not complete but forms a large part of the books inventory.
