Cornish, c.1810, the silvered compass rose engraved 'Dunkin & James, Penzance', the dial in a wooden mount with engraved scale to one side for mounting on a plane tabel, the dial an be removed and fitted to the tripod mount, with 2 upright sights slotting in to dovetailed lugs, and an engraved semi-circular sight engraved 90-0-90, in a fitted oak case
