County of Lancaster and Burnley, Travelling Inspectors Scales

comprising of two sets the first English, dated 1898, with each of the 2 (of 3) beam scales engraved 'County of Lancaster (Leyland Division), Thos Cheshire Liverpool' in fitted oak case, the medium scales pans further engraved 'Capacity 7 LB', numbered 1948, pans with various stamps, and the large scales to be tripod mounted (no tripod) with brass pans the beam engraved 'Capacity 56 LB', numbered 1947, case width 76cm

The second case with scales dated 1904, with three sets of scales engraved 'Borough of Burnley' to the front of the beam and to the rear 'De Grave & Co, Makers London' the small set on a mahogany baseboard to weigh 1lb, scales numbered 1883, the medium scales on a mahogany baseboard to weigh 7lb numbered 1882 and the scales to be tripod mounted (no tripod) to weigh 56lb numbered 1881
