Chinese, 19th Century, label in the lid in Chinese translates as 'Libra & Fine Metal Company, Didicated for Royal Family' with another name possibly in Japanese, black stained pine case with drop handles opens to reveal space for set of weights, and upright support for scale ( replacement), drawer below with brass scale and pans with red silk ropes, complete with 13 brass weights engraved with Chinese characters and numbered underneath, case 45.5cm wide
