Large Photograph Album (370x520mm), leather bound with "AC" brass initials on cover.

The album contains over 50 large format albumen prints showing views in Hong Kong, India, Malay and Japan.

23 images of Hong Kong including a four piece panorama (190x850mm),linen backed. A number of images attributed to Lai Afong, some numbered and labelled with image details. Image size are mainly 210x275mm.

30 views of India and Malay, 8 with G.R.Lambert blindstamp, a photographer from Dresden who ran a successful studio in Singapore from the 1860s. 1 has Bourne and Shepherd inscribed in the negative.

Interestingly, in the back pages of the album are a group of images, many annotated, relating to Mission groups in China and Malay, showing dwellings, local scenes, a view showing people being treated in a hospital. The album initials appear to refer to a Connell, shown and named in one of the images.

Note: This lot is offered from a deceased estate. Probate is currently in progress, and title will be confirmed upon issue of the Grant.
