The Fuller calculator, also known as Fuller’s cylindrical sliderule, is a circular slide rule that has a helical main scale that turns 50 times around the cylinder. It is comparable to a traditional slide ruler measuring 25.40m (1,000 inches) in length. It was invented by George Fuller (professor of engineering at Queen's University Belfast) in 1878. It outperformed almost all other slide rules and remained on the marketplace for nearly 100 years despite its price and size.
