A collection of 8 card cases of stereo veroscope-type glass slides (4.5cm x 10.6cm) each with hand written details of contents in French to the lid, some marked with the name M Cantin.

This second part of the archive again provides a delightfully authentic insight into the area of Ha Giang in Indochina occupying the Northern border region of Vietnam with China in around 1905, again the slides record everyday life capturing street scenes, markets, and family life in and around the French Quarter, there are some interesting slides detailing prisoners with one image showing prisoners wearing rather crude cangues, there are some good images of an early French tank possibly the Renault FT, images of historical buildings, pagodas and statues, overall the collection gives an excellent picture of French Colonial life, work and day to day events from the turn of the Century (Approximately 100+ slides)
