A Boxwood Measuring Rod and a Brooks Flexible Curve

both English, late 19th century, the rod 16mm square in cross-section, 20 inch measure divided in tenths, with shaped handle and brass stop, marked Buss Maker 33 Hatton Garden London, with an early Brooks Patent Curve, the curve in boxwood with mahogany frame and brass fittings, each brass clip marked 'Brooks Patent', rod 61cm, curve 92cm. Note: the curve folds down for easy shipping in a card tube.
