A Silver Gelatin Photograph Showing The Entrance to King Tutankhamun’s Tomb, showing details of tents and what appear to be armed guards at the entrance, pencil description to the reverse ‘Thebes – Vally of the Tombs of the Kings’ and in pen to the top corners AM.

Condition: good contrast scuffs and marks

The photograph shows a similar arrangement of tents and buildings around the entrance to the tomb as the images taken by Harry Burton during and after the excavation by Lord Carnarvon.
