A Large & Fine Victorian Medicine Chest

English, mid 19th Century,lLid opens to reveal three rows of bottles, 7 to the front, 5 in the middle with 4 at the back, between the front and middle row on the left is a glass pill making slab 12.5 x 9 cm, all compartments lined with dark green baize to match lid , the drawer contains a row of 7 divisions for bottles at the back 4 cms deep in front of which on the right are two divisions for tin boxes 4 x 7 cm. To the left of these boxes is a tray 18 x 6 cm containing scales and weights above a similar sized well, in front of these two divisions in the drawer are mahogany covered compartments 13.5 x 8.5 cm . The left contains a mortar and pestle and the right has a posterior compartment containing a measure and three circular compartments on the front with silver capped glass jars, most bottles with labels for 'SAVORY & MOORE, chemists to the Queen H.R.H. th Prince of Wales, His Majesty the King of the Belgians H.H. the Khedive of Egypt 143 New Bond St London', height 25cm, width 29cm
