including: a George III silver lancet case, possibly by George Cowles, London, 1809, stamped WRIGHT & Co LONDON, later engraved with initials, three tortoiseshell lancets one stamped with the latter – 8.3cm. (length); and a single Victorian silver lancet case, by George Cowie, London, 1850, with engine-turned decoration, engraved with initials, with tortoiseshell lancet stamped J & WOOD MANCHESTER – 5.9cm. (length)

NOTE: Both were previously bought from Elizabeth Bennion in 1994.
