Unmarked, Weplate Stereo Sliding Box Camera

English, c.1860, camera unsigned (plaque missing from box), lens engraved 'A. Rofs, 5778', the case forms the support to the camera with a track on whihc it moves from side to side to take 2 images, the camera a simple box camera constructed of French polished wood, with dovetail joints each with a single brass screw, internal box slides back for focusing, lens a simple achromatic landscape lens with flap shutter, ground glass focusing screen, with 6 (of 7) Colodion wetplate plate holders each with 2 sliding openings and a single door to the rear, case with adjustment to the track via internal screw mechanism, case width 33cm
