English, c.1860, engraved in copper plate script along the top 'L Casella Makers to the admiralty & Ordinance No.28', the barometer with adjustment screw to base acting on an internal boxwood plate connected to a leather bag, main body with rotating cover to glass body (glass broken), main column with engraved scale with geared adjustment to reader and suspension hoop at the top, in a fitted polished mahogany case, barometer height 43cm
